   YAMAHA R15 VERSION 2.0




OVERVIEW:
YAMAHA has taken the already proven R15V1 and made it better. Aesthetically more parts are changed. From the front, it's a facelift version. From rear totally changed with tail light.


DESIGN:
Aerodynamic facelifted design, Split seat with raised rear seat given the version 2 a unique look. Which looks sportier than version one. No new technologies were added over to version 1. Version 2 was made to the persons who criticize the design due to the slim tires. As per many, the looks of the bike were spoiled by tires. It has all the existing power parts of which version 1 with few aesthetic updates. World-class disc brake set up increased the size of disc brake set up(For more info about R15 series disc brake setup click here). Stock tires are MRF tires.

PERFORMANCE& COMFORT:

Though the engine remains same as the version 1, it was made with a different state of tune to give an initial and mid-level performance so that the bike feels even fun to ride. The bike was heavier than 5kg compared to version 1. Because of the tuning, we cannot find the lack of power in low and mid-level. Comfort for riders is increased by giving a large seat to riders and there is a significant lack of comfort to the pillion. The shape of the seat and width of the seat made the discomfort to the Pillion.
Overall performance of the bike was not compromised but the comfort of the pillion definitely gone down.

SAFETY:
  • The brake caliper and brake pads are made by Nissin it’s number one in its segment .downside of. Brake is sometimes wheel lock will happen 
  • Once you adjusted with the brakes then it’s the most controllable & comfortable bike in this segment.
  • Both front and back are Hydraulic disc brakes.

MAINTENENCE:

*Compared to other competitors(Fully faired segment) it’s pretty cheap.
*But don’t mess with the electrical connection if anything goes wrong you are in trouble 
*Plastic part price will be low 
* Engine oil cheap ( 350 to 1800 based on your preference)
*Front disc pad  (Nissin original-468 Rupees )
*Rear disc pad  (Nissin Original - 690 Rupees)
*Fairing (500 to 1500)

"Pricing of the spare parts are lesser compared to R15 version 1 because most of the products are manufactured in India."


CONCLUSION/VERDICT:

It's a recommended buy for college students and recently married persons. The remaining people have a test drive before buying this bike.




Recommended for ENTRY to PRO level riders, from STREET to TRACK.
