The all-new R15 V4 is the 4th generation of legendry R15 which shares the same DNA with super sports YZF R1. Design copied from the big bike R7 this time. The body language colors design all grabbed from R7 and made R15 v4. Bike looks became more sporty than before. Yamaha modified the tank to get the handlebar closer to the rider. It gives rider comfort and more relaxed comfort compared to R15 v3. The fairing is now made bigger. Yamaha redesigned the front part of the bike and the rear remains the same as per R15 with few tweaks. Sharper aggressive eyes as a pilot lamp and incorporated a bi-directional light in the middle (the only bummer part of the bike is the light array). Muscular tank. (Plastic - three-piece design) which shows the bike is even bigger. The aerodynamic front has a shape that reduces the drag from air moving past, Edgy tail with LED lights. The New YZF R15 lives up to its legacy of challenging spirits boldly. R15V4 justifies the R tag. With a quick shifter and upside-down suspension setup, the bike goes another level in its segment. Power and torque figures reduced minimum but Yamaha claims that upgraded front fairing and added electronics give the performance to its best and gives the superbike feel to the 150cc bike. An A&S (assist and slipper) clutch is adopted to reduce the weight of the clutch pull and provide low-stress shifting during deceleration. The A&S helps to reduce fatigue for the rider. This also prevents excessive engine braking, thus reducing its effects on chassis behavior. The A&S clutch makes for smooth, enjoyable downshifts.
This is the first-ever high-performance VVA system that provides torque for ease of use even at low RPM. There are two intake valve cams one for low- to mid-range rpm and another for high rpm. They switch between each other at the 7,400 rpm mark to ensure good power and torque are present throughout the entire rev range.
This liquid-cooled single overhead camshaft fuel injection engine churns out 18.6PS@10000rpm and 14.1Nm@8500rpm. Features an advanced die-cast aluminum (DiASil) cylinder with outstanding cooling performance.
The new R15 adopts a new Deltabox frame with superb rigidity balance. With a Deltabox frame, the top and bottom of the head pipe and the pivot points form a triangle, hence the “Deltabox” gives it excellent rigidity balance.
YZF R15 gets a sporty, stable handling character from Yamaha’s tradition of crafting a machine emphasizing riding feel. A linked-type Monocross rear suspension is adapted to accommodate the powerful engine character and a wide rear tire is adopted for optimum balance.
The days that you ride off without your side stand retracted are behind you. With the In-built side stand engine cut-off switch, you can rest assured that you do not forget to remove the side stand during those immediate rides.
The R15 V4 comes with Traction Control System. This is a dedicated electronic system that has the remarkable ability to reduce the chances of wheelspin (slippage due to loss of traction)

To take the sporty handling on twisty roads to the next level, the R15 V4 employs an upside-down front suspension fork with 37 mm inner tubes. The upside-down front forks improve rigidity and provide stability while taking high-speed turns or during high braking input.
